Manosh
Bardhan, the sound engineer,
is in charge of studio operations.
Manosh is basically a qualified
civil engineer who has been
in the industrial fields
of construction, mining,
polymers, etc. for about
21 years. He had his own
factory where, as an entrepreneur,
he developed many products
indigenously. Right through
his industrial tenure, he
tried to pursue his music
to the maximum possible
extent and also got into
digital recording during
this period. Finally he
turned full-time to his
first passion "music" and
with the help of his close
friend, Punit, set up Astha,
a multi-track digital recording
theatre.
Manosh
is a versatile musician
who has performed on tabla,
guitar, keyboards, percussions,
and vocal, in innumerable
shows and concerts with
exponents of Indian classical
music, orchestra groups,
dance dramas, folk music,
modern songs, ghazals, bhajans,
Bollywood music, Western
classical, jazz and fusion
groups. He is an accredited
artiste of All India Radio,
Pondicherry.
Manosh
is a composer in his own
right and has scored music
for many songs in modern/
devotional/ ghazal/ semi-classical/
world music categories.
He has many original compositions
in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil,
Malayam and French.
He has also
played in, and arranged
music for, many albums,
including an album of contemporary
Russian songs. He has created
karaoke music for more than
hundred different types
of songs and rendered background
music for plays and dance
dramas. He has also composed
background music for documentaries,
animation films, signature
music and jingles produced
by DD and private TV channels.
